MY DOCTOR SAYS I NEED A PIT BULL: HOW TO AVOID DISCRIMINATION BASED ON DISABILITY

What should you do when a disabled tenant asks you to bend the rules or to alter your property? This course provides you with the exact frameworks I use to determine if a disabled person is entitled to reasonable accommodations or modifications under Fair Housing law. The course explains the principles that exist in the law, then looks at hypothetical situations that will help you learn to apply those principles. Because of the boom in tenants requesting Assistance Animals, we pay special attention to handling those requests. This course will pay for itself many times over.

FAIR HOUSING 101: AN INTRODUCTION TO FAIR HOUSING LAW

What's the difference between the ADA and the FHA? Which groups are protected in Kentucky? Which landlords are exempt from Fair Housing laws? What conduct is prohibited? If you can't answer these basic questions, this course is for you. Fair Housing 101 uses a slideshow to answer these questions and many more as it lays a foundation for understanding Fair Housing law. If you've never studied Fair Housing law in an organized, systematic way, this class is where you should start.
