According to the most recent polling, one-third (1/3) of Americans have lost their jobs or been laid off and one-half report that they’ve had either a pay cut or reduced hours. Statewide Eviction Postponement Update (March 17-18, 2020)

Here's a quick video on the current state of affairs regarding evictions in Kentucky.    UPDATE - March 18, 2020 - 4:30 p.m.  HUD has announced the following:  "Properties secured by FHA-insured Single Family mortgages are subject to a moratorium on foreclosure for a period of 60 days. The moratorium applies to the initiation of foreclosures and to the completion of foreclosures in process. Similarly, evictions of persons from properties secured by FHA-insured Single Family mortgages are also suspended for a period of 60 days." COVID-19, the Coronavirus, has turned life upside down for just about everyone, including landlords. Here's my video on the current situation with evictions in Kentucky and some best practices for landlords. Here are the notes: Evictions Postponed Statewide All non-emergency court cases, including evictions, are postponed beginning Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 10.  As far as we know, we will still be able to file evictions for you – we just don’t know when the court will hear the case.
